Hello SnowRunners!
We wanted to give you all a place to be able to monitor progress on updates and what is being worked on, so we’ve compiled this list of known issues. Although we are aware there are other bugs (this is not an exhaustive list of bugs in the game), this list contains the main priorities, and we will update it whenever something changes.
Keep in mind that there are a lot of SnowRunners out there, and many of these issues are only happening to a small portion of them.
Public Test Branch
For upcoming content updates, we usually provide a public test branch, open to anyone on PC. This will allow anyone willing to play the new update before it is published and provide feedback to the development team in advance. The purpose of this is to make sure you can all have a smooth experience when the update and the new content goes live. You can keep up to date on PTS activity here.
Once again, thanks for all the reports we receive, they help out a ton, so please keep it up!
Known Issues
All Platforms
- Yukon mission cabin bug: The mission required 10 or 15 cabins, which should have been 2 or 3. This has been fixed now, but you may need to restart the mission for it to take effect.
- Some players can’t coop on the same connection (see heading below for more info)
- Coop syncing issues
- Can’t refuel in coop in some cases. Restarting session helps.
- Lost vehicles on Big Salmon Peak: The team has found a fix to make certain it doesn't happen again. It is unfortunately not possible to restore the lost vehicles. Apologies to those affected by this.
PC
- Missing trucks after loading screen in solo mode.
- G29 / G920 not working for some players after 9.0 Update
Consoles
- If you experience lag or crashes, try uninstalling your mods, as this may be the cause. We recommend not installing everything at once.
- Some players are unable to download mods due to “not enough space”. We don’t know yet if this is a bug, but the team is looking into it.
- Negative money on consoles. This was caused by a mod (fixed now). Patch 11.2 restored money by turning negative balance into positive (The fix for this is still on the way for Xbox One).

Stuck on black loading screen on PC
This is likely caused by a mod. If you reinstall your mods, your issue should be fixed. If not, please let us know.
Multiplayer invite not working
Some of you can't join a coop game, or can't see anyone in the in-game friend list as the host. Let us know if you're still having connectivity issues in coop.
Some of you may have issues after a game when coming back to the menu. If you see your friend list empty, please relaunch your game.
I lost my save!
If you're on PC, please try the following:
- Open Windows Security.
- Open Virus & threat protection.
- Click on Manage ransomware protection under Ransomware protection.
- Click on Allow an app through Controlled folder access.
- Click on Add an allowed app > Browse all apps.
- Navigate to SnowRunner > en_us > Sources > Bin.
- Select SnowRunner.exe application and click Open button.
- Close Windows Security.
You also have a PC back up save folder, that you can find here:
C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\SnowRunner\base\storage\backupSlots\sd6f4e86g1d6s1gd5 (this long code will be different on your computer)
Then you copy all the files from the most recent folder to the activate save folder:
C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\SnowRunner\base\storage\sd6f4e86g1d6s1gd5 (this long code will be different on your computer)
Then restart the game and pick local save when asked about cloud or local save by Epic.
If these steps didn't work, please email snowrunner@saber3d.com.
I can't winch to my friends in multiplayer!
You have to activate the coop winch in the lobby settings.
On console, you have to Manage Party (Triangle or Y) > Allow other players to winch my truck (R2 or RT).
My internet router is in strict NAT, preventing me from playing in multiplayer
You'll have to switch to a different network settings on your side, if possible. If this doesn't work, you'll have to check with your ISP.
The two following ports have to be open:
- TCP: 11700-11710
- UDP: 48800-49000
To do so, please do the following:
- Search for Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security
- Open Inbound Rules and click on "New Rule..." on right side of the window.
- Make rule SR1: Port > TCP > Specific local ports 11700-11710 > Allow the connection
- Make rule SR2: Port > UDP > Specific local ports 48800-49000 > Allow the connection
- Open Outbound Rules and do the previous two steps with opening ports
Vehicle not available in the US in the truck store
This doesn't mean you can't buy the truck in your real life country. You have to go to a different region in the game to buy this truck.
I can't play with someone using the same internet router
Although this has been fixed for many players, some are still experiencing issues. A temporary workaround: one of the players can use a VPN (targeting the same country to reduce lag).
