DOWNLOAD/INSTALLATION ISSUES
Cannot download Curse of the Dead Gods
1. Run Steam and click Steam (upper left) > Settings > Downloads.
2. Click on the CLEAR DOWNLOAD CACHE button and click OK.
3. Steam will restart automatically.
NOTE: This process will not affect your currently installed games, but you will need to log into Steam afterwards.
CHOOSING THE GAME LANGUAGE
At the first game startup, the default language is the one selected from Steam:
From LIBRARY, right click on Curse of the Dead Gods > Properties > LANGUAGE.
GAME NOT LAUNCHING
Make sure you fulfill the minimum requirements
OS: Windows 7/8/10 (64 bits)
Processor: Intel Core i3-2125 (3.3 GHz)/AMD FX-4100 (3.6 GHz)
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: 2 GB, GeForce GTX 660/Radeon R7 370
Storage: 2 GB available space
Verifying the installation of game files
1. Right click on Curse of the Dead Gods under LIBRARY > Properties.
2. Click on LOCAL FILES > VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES.
Check that Windows 10 is up to date
1. Right click on the Windows Start button > Settings.
2. Click on Update & Security.
3. Click on the Check for updates button from Windows Update.
Update the display driver
It is recommended to perform a clean install of the display driver.
Please use Display Driver Uninstaller application to properly uninstall the display driver.
Display Driver Uninstaller is a driver removal utility that can help you completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and packages from your system, without leaving leftovers behind (including registry keys, folders and files, driver store).
1. Install Display Driver Uninstaller

2. Run the DDU setup application and extract the DDU folder.
3. Restart your PC in safe mode

4. Open the Display Driver Uninstaller folder and run the Display Driver Uninstaller.exe application.
5. Select the graphics card (AMD GPU or NVIDIA GPU) and click on the Clean and restart (Highly recommended) button.
6. Install the new display driver.

Update the audio driver
1. Right click on the Windows Start button > Device Manager.
2. Open Sound, video and game controllers.
3. Right click on the default audio device (e.g., Realtek High Definition Audio) > Update driver.
Run Curse of the Dead Gods in administrator mode at startup
1. Navigate to Steam > steamapps > common > Curse of the Dead Gods.
2. Right click on Curse of the Dead Gods.exe application > Properties.
3. Click the Compatibility tab.
4. Check Run this program as an administrator and click OK.

Windows 10 Insider Preview Build
Curse of the Dead Gods may not be fully compatible with the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview Build version.
Please note that the Windows 10 Insider Builds can be buggy and include unfinished features.
To opt-out of the Windows Insider Program:
1. Right click on the Windows Start button > Settings.
2. Click on Update & Security.
3. Click on Windows Insider Program.
4. Click on the Stop Insider Preview builds button.

Install the Platform Update for Windows 7 64-bit:

2. Download and open the Windows6.1-KB2670838-x64.msu file.
GAME CRASHING AT STARTUP

Black screen
1. Navigate to Steam > steamapps > common > Curse of the Dead Gods.

4. Check Disable fullscreen optimizations and click OK.
MSI Afterburner
1. Open RivaTuner Statistics Server (RTSS).
2. Click Add button (bottom left).
3. Navigate to Steam > steamapps > common > Curse of the Dead Gods.
4. Add Curse of the Dead Gods.exe application under Application profile properties.
5. Set Application detection level to None for the game application.
6. Close RivaTuner Statistics Server.

GAME CONTROLLER ISSUES
My third-party controller isn’t recognized by Steam! What can I do?

As well as following the following steps:
1. Right click on the game in your library.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Select Controller to access your controller configuration.
4. Select the fitting option in your controller settings.
5. Don’t tick the “Turn off on Big Picture Exit” option.
My PS4/PS5 controller doesn’t work with the game or stopped working after getting disconnected
We are aware of this and working on a fix at the moment.

I can use my PS4 controller but only Xbox buttons are displayed in-game
For players with the following issue, we advise you to not play using Bluetooth for the moment. As a quick workaround, you can directly plug your controller in again.
What about DualSense?
For now, Curse of The Dead Gods doesn’t officially support DualSense!

7. Select High-performance NVIDIA processor under 2. Select the preferred graphics processor for this program:.
8. Click on the Apply button (bottom right) then close the NVIDIA Control Panel.

Lags/Stuttering/FPS drops
1. Navigate to Steam > steamapps > common > Curse of the Dead Gods > TempleResources.
2. Delete the _LocalData folder and run Curse of the Dead Gods.
NOTE: The game will recompile all shaders, so there will be some temporarily slowdowns at the beginning.
Closing background applications
Third-party applications running in the background (CCleaner Smart Cleaning, Overwolf, f.lux, etc.) may interfere with Curse of the Dead Gods.
Please disable temporarily these applications and search which application is interfering with the game:
1. Right click on the Windows Start button > Task Manager.
2. Click on the Startup tab (click on More details to display the tabs).
3. Restart the computer.
Disable Steam Overlay
1. Right click on Curse of the Dead Gods under LIBRARY > Properties.
2. Uncheck Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game under GENERAL tab and click CLOSE.
AUDIO ISSUES
