A. POWER CYCLING THE NETWORK DEVICES
1. Turn off the computer.
2. Turn off and unplug the modem and the router if there is one.
3. Wait one minute.
4. Plug back in and turn on the modem and the router.
5. Turn on the computer.
B. RESET THE NETWORK IN WINDOWS
1. Right click on the Windows Start button > Settings > Network & Internet.
2. Click on Network reset.
3. Click the Reset now button.
4. Click the Yes button.
C. RESTORE FIREWALLS TO DEFAULT
1. Right click on the Windows Start button > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security.
2. Click on Firewall & network protection under Protection areas.
3. Click on Restore firewalls to default.
4. Click the Restore defaults button.
5. Click the Yes button.
Run Aliens: Fireteam Elite then you should receive a prompt to allow the game through the firewall.

SETTING UP QUALITY OF SERVICE (QOS)
Quality of Service is a mechanism available in most routers that allows traffic to certain devices or applications to be prioritized over others on a home network.
1. Find the MAC address of the console:
- In the PlayStation menu, arrow up and select Settings.
- Scroll down to Network.
- Scroll down to View Connection Status.
- The MAC Address will be listed next to MAC Address (LAN) and MAC Address (Wi-Fi).
2. Log into the Internet Router settings.
3. Locate the QoS (Quality of service) settings. This can likely be found as a subcategory beneath advanced network settings or wireless settings.
4. Enable QoS.
5. Enter the MAC address.
6. Set the priority to the highest.
7. Apply and save the settings.
8. Restart the Router.

- In the Settings pane, select Network.
- Select Advanced Settings from the Network Settings tab.
- At the bottom of this screen, you'll see a heading for Wired MAC and Wireless MAC.
