BASIC NETWORK TROUBLESHOOTING
A. POWER CYCLING THE NETWORK DEVICES
1. Turn off the computer.
2. Turn off and unplug the modem and the router if there is one.
3. Wait one minute.
4. Plug back in and turn on the modem and the router.
5. Turn on the computer.
B. RESET THE NETWORK IN WINDOWS
1. Right click on the Windows Start button > Settings > Network & Internet.
2. Click on Network reset.
3. Click the Reset now button.
4. Click the Yes button.
C. TROUBLESHOOTING FIREWALL CONFIGURATION ISSUES
1. Right click on the Windows Start button > Windows PowerShell (Admin).
2. Enter the following command: firewall.cpl
3. Press Enter.
4. Click on Restore Defaults from the menu on the left.
5. Click the Restore Defaults button.
6. Click the Yes button.
Run SnowRunner then you should receive a prompt to allow the game through the firewall.
Allow the game through the firewall to prevent further issues.
ADVANCED NETWORK TROUBLESHOOTING
SETTING UP QUALITY OF SERVICE (QOS)
Quality of Service is a mechanism available in most routers that allows traffic to certain devices or applications to be prioritized over others on a home network.
1. Log into the Internet Router settings.
2. Locate the QoS (Quality of service) settings. This can likely be found as a subcategory beneath advanced network settings or wireless settings.
3. Enable QoS.
4. Add a QoS Priority Rule or Policy named SNOWRUNNER.
5. Add the SnowRunner application.
6. Set the priority to the highest.
7. Select the two protocols TCP and UDP.
8. Set the port range from 7777 to 7779.
9. Apply and save the settings.
10. Restart the Router.
PLAYSTATION VERSION
NETWORK IN NAT (NETWORK ADDRESS TRANSLATION) TYPE 3
Your PlayStation may encounter online issues when your network is in NAT Type 3, which means that the console is behind multiple routers. Please try to be in NAT Type 1 or 2, this guide may help you set this up:

4. Enable QoS.

- Navigate to the Settings page.
- Select Network.
- Select Advanced Settings.
- Under IP settings, the MAC address will be listed next to Wired MAC and Wireless MAC on the right-hand side of the screen (this is also where the IP address and other information is located).
XBOX ONE
- Go to My Xbox in the Xbox dashboard and select Settings.
- In the Settings pane, select Network.
- Select Advanced Settings from the Network Settings tab.
- At the bottom of this screen, you'll see a heading for Wired MAC and Wireless MAC.
2. Log into the Internet Router settings.

4. Enable QoS.
5. Enter the MAC address.
